OUR HISTORY
Pottsville, Pennsylvania
Pottsville, Pennsylvania, is a city home to 13,338 residents as of 2022. It is a place with a lot of rich history going back centuries. The city was founded in 1806 by John Pott, and it later gained tremendous growth as a result of discovering anthracite coal. This discovery gave Pottsville the name of "the coal region" in Schuylkill County by the 19th century. Today, our history is still prominent because of businesses such as Yuengling Brewery and the Schuylkill County Courthouse Museum.
